9-12 Eylül 2026 tarihleri arasında Azerbaycan’ın Bakü şehrinde, Azerbaycan Ulusal Bilimler Akademisi ev sahipliğiyle Birinci Türkoloji Kurultayı’nın 100. yıl dönümüne ithafen gerçekleştirilecek olan Uluslararası Altay Toplulukları Sempozyumu – XIV: Altay Çalışmalarının Dünü, Bugünü ve Yarını adlı sempozyumu sizlere duyurmanın mutluluğu içindeyiz.
Bu sempozyumda, Altay çalışmalarının geçmişi, bugünü ve geleceği dil, tarih, sanat tarihi, arkeoloji, etnografya, antropoloji, halk bilimi, edebiyat, coğrafya gibi farklı disiplinler çerçevesinde ele alınacak; alana dair yeni bulgular, sorunlar, çözüm önerileri ve geleceğe yönelik perspektifler tartışılacaktır.
Belirtilen hususlar çerçevesinde “Altay Toplulukları”nı konu alan bu sempozyum, oturumlar ve paneller hâlinde gerçekleştirilecektir. Sempozyum için gönderilen bildiriler, Sempozyum Bilim Kurulu tarafından değerlendirildikten sonra konu ve içeriklerine uygun olarak programa yerleştirilecektir.
Sempozyuma sunulacak bireysel bildiriler için özetler 300 kelimeyi aşmamalıdır.
Bir panel, panel yöneticisi dahil üç ya da dört kişilik bir gruptan oluşacaktır. Panel yöneticileri, hem panel üyelerinin görüş ve yaklaşımlarını sunmaları için gerekli koordinasyonu hem de yeterli müzakere süresini sağlamaktan sorumludurlar. Bu yüzden panel yöneticileri, kendi seçtikleri konuşmacıları panelist olarak davet etme hakkına sahiptirler. Panel önerisi, konu ve gerekçe ile panelde sunulacak her bireysel bildirinin katkısını açıklayıcı mahiyette olmalıdır. Paneldeki her bildirinin özeti en fazla 300 kelime olmalıdır.
Panel ve oturumlarda her bildirinin sunum süresi 15 dakikadır.
Sempozyuma 100 civarında bildirinin kabul edilmesi planlanmaktadır. Bildirilerin özgün, daha önce temas edilmemiş konularla ilgili ve bilim âleminde ilgi uyandıracak nitelikte olması tercih sebebidir. Sempozyumun yüksek bir düzeye ulaşması için hem bildiri seçimini hem de bildiri sayısını belirleme yetkisi Düzenleme Kurulu’na aittir.

We are pleased to to you the symposium entitled International Altay Communities Symposium – XIV: The Past, Present, and Future of Altay Studies, will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on September 9-12, 2026, hosted by the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The symposium will be organized in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the First Turkology Congress.
The symposium will address the past, present, and future of Altaic studies within various disciplines such as linguistics, history, art history, archaeology, ethnography, anthropology, folklore, literature, and geography. It will provide a platform for discussing new findings, current issues, proposed solutions, and perspectives for future research in the field.
Within the scope outlined above, the symposium will feature panels and sessions on topics related to Altay communities. Papers submitted to the symposium will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee and organized into the program based on their content and topics. Each abstract presented on the panel should be a maximum of 300 words.
The abstracts for the individual papers to be submitted for the symposium should not exceed 300 words.
A panel will be made up of three or four participants, including the panel leader. Panel chairs are responsible for coordinating the presentations of panel members and ensuring sufficient time for discussion. Therefore, panel chairs have the right to invite speakers of their choice to participate as panelists. Each panel proposal should include the topic, rationale, and a description of each participant’s contribution. Each abstract presented on the panel should be a maximum of 300 words.
Each presentation in panels and sessions will be limited to 15 minutes.
It is planned that approximately 100 papers will be accepted for the symposium. Preference will be given to original and innovative studies that explore previously unexamined topics and contribute to the advancement of the field. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to determine both the number and selection of papers to ensure the high academic quality of the symposium.
